Criminal Investigation Students Compete at the UniSport Finals in Poreč

Students of the University of Applied Sciences in Criminal Investigation and Public Security took part in the UniSport HR Finals 2026, held in Poreč from 28 to 31 May 2026.
The event, the largest national academic sports competition in Croatia, brought together more than 1,600 student-athletes from 25 higher education institutions, as well as numerous distinguished guests. The opening ceremony featured addresses by Nikola Vincetić, President of the Croatian Academic Sports Federation (HASS); Marko Žunić, member of the FISU Executive Committee; Haris Pavletić, President of the European University Sports Association (EUSA); and other officials. In their remarks, speakers emphasised the role of university sport as a space for personal development, teamwork, and excellence, as well as the growing importance of the UniSport system at both national and European levels.
Over the course of the competition, students competed across a wide range of disciplines, including football, futsal, basketball, 3x3 basketball, handball, volleyball, beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, chess, e-sports, wrestling, and beach wrestling. The UniSport HR Finals once again confirmed its status as the most diverse academic sporting event in Croatia.
The University of Applied Sciences in Criminal Investigation and Public Security was represented by Anamarija Frančić, Lara Čovo, and Nika Nujić in beach volleyball; Ante Jurčić and Igor Tominac in table tennis; and Dinko Bošjak, Jan Gatarić, Filip Kraljević, and Ivan Vuković in 3x3 basketball.
The University received a recognition award for its participation in the UniSport HR Finals 2026, which was accepted on the University's behalf by Dean Associate Professor Ante Orlović, PhD. The University delegation also included Assistant Professor Marijan Jozić, PhD; Associate Professor Joško Vukosav, PhD; and Assistant Professor Hrvoje Filipović, PhD, Vice Dean.
For those unable to attend in person, selected matches were broadcast via the UniSport TV YouTube channel, while highlights and event atmosphere were shared on the official UniSportHR Instagram profile.
